One of the most popular Jamaican musicians is Bob Marey (Robert Nesta Marley), who lived from 1945-1981. He developed a musical reggae style inspired by ska music. His father was an officer of the British Army, but his mother was a singer and a writer.

Marley's life was short, colorful and brought a lot of important content to the global culture. He left the legacy of love.
He died of cancer and numerous metastases at the age of only 36. In 1977 the singer was injured and the wound was not fully healed. According to the beliefs of rastafarian amputation of the toe was not involved, therefore Marley did not agree to it.

Three years later, he was diagnosed with skin cancer and soon metastasis, which resulted in the lung, brain and stomach attacks. However, the cancer was hidden from his fans. Bob Marley had 11 children: three with Rita's wife, two with Rita's adopted children and six with other women (he had three children in one month at the turn of April and May 1972).

The singer was associated with the Rastafari movement, which he met thanks to his wife Rita and thanks to the music he was able to convey the ideology in the lyrics of songs that reached other countries. He was a great advocate of using and using marijuana, which is apparent even on the cover of one of Marley's albums (Catch a Fire), where we can see a singer smoking a bladder with marijuana. Two weeks before his death, under the influence of numerous requests from his mother, Bob Marley, along with his wife and children, was baptized and joined the Orthodox Ethiopian Church. He received the name: Berhane Selassie, ie, "The Light of the Holy Trinity."

My songs contain the message of justice ...
May the righteous fill the earth as the waters fill the oceans. "
